Minister Jeanie McLean announced on Monday the creation of the Tourism Accommodation Sector Supplement. Up to $2.88 million in immediate relief is available to local accommodation businesses on top of the Yukon Business Relief Program. This supplement is part of a larger $15 million funding package for tourism relief and recovery over the next three years.
This program will provide relief to the accommodation sector to ensure that they are there for us when we come out of the pandemic, to the tune of up to $400 per room per month between October and December 2020, with the possibility of extension.
