Dear Riverdale North Constituents:
Thank-you for electing me to be your MLA for Riverdale North. The electoral process, which started in the early summer of 2016, was challenging, illuminating and rewarding, as my team and I had the humbling opportunity to speak with and listen to many of our friends and neighbours in Riverdale.
In early 2017, I was honoured to be elected as the 25th Speaker of the Yukon Legislative Assembly. In this position I am the Senior Presiding Officer of the Legislature.
As our Yukon spring daylight and warmth slowly return, I look forward to connecting with you in our neighbourhood. If you do have any questions or concerns, please contact me, as responding to my constituents is a priority.
Early Highlights from 2017:
- Provided opening comments at the Absolute Justice – Interfaith 7th World Religions Conference at the Whitehorse United Church.
- Attended the 2016 Aboriginal Employees Award of Honour Presentation.
- Presented the Yukon Coat of Arms, carved by Eugene Alfred, to Commissioner Doug Phillips on behalf of the Yukon Legislative Assembly.
- I have met with many current and former territorial leaders in order to receive advice and guidance on priorities and best practices in effectively overseeing and guiding the business of the Legislature.
