Patrick, Anne and John racing to the finish line!
Hello beautiful Mount Lorne – Southern Lakes!
It is a real honour and privilege to be elected to represent us all in the riding. I’m looking forward to working with everyone around the Southern Lakes in the coming years. The first few months since the election have been a whirlwind. By the way, I would like to acknowledge Kevin Barr and Rob Schneider for running in the election and also thank Kevin for his 5 years of dedication and service to the riding.
After being elected, I was appointed to cabinet as Minister of Community Services, and I am also responsible for the Yukon Liquor Corporation, the Lotteries Commission, and French Language Services. It’s a broad and diverse portfolio, and basically means I am going to be busy!
I love my home in Marsh Lake, and beautiful Southern Lakes. I spend as much time in my riding as possible, attending Local Advisory Council (LAC) meetings, and community events. Now that the snow is starting to melt, I’m excited about spring. Hope to see you all at local events and meetings soon!
Early highlights from 2017:
- Productive visits with municipalities, First Nations, and LACs across the Territory.
- Attended the Local Advisory Council Forum held in Marsh Lake, with all 5 LACs.
- Working with Ottawa on flowing federal infrastructure funding to Yukon communities.
- Working with the Association of Yukon Communities on improving solid waste management across the Territory.
