DAWSON CITY – The Yukon Liberal Caucus joins Yukoners in celebrating the vibrant and inclusive Dawson Pride Weekend events taking place this weekend. We stand with all those honouring this special event celebrating the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Dawson Pride Weekend, scheduled for July 27th to 30th, promises to be an incredible occasion, filled with a series of engaging events, activities and performances that highlight the values of equality, love and unity.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy an array of exciting activities, including live music performances, dance parties, art exhibitions, film screenings, and thought-provoking panel discussions. “One of the many things that makes Dawson so special is the strength of the Pride community,” said MLA for Klondike Sandy Silver. “I hope everyone has the chance to enjoy the incredible lineup of events planned for the weekend.”
“The Yukon Liberal Caucus recognizes the importance of creating safe, accepting and caring spaces for everyone,” said Minister of Health and Social Services Tracy-Anne McPhee. “Dawson Pride Weekend serves as a prime example of how communities can come together to break down barriers, be inclusive and create a more compassionate and supportive environment for all.”
“Thank you to the organizing committee, community volunteers and local businesses who have worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Your dedication and commitment to promoting inclusivity are commendable, and we are grateful for all that you do,” said Minister responsible for Gender and Women Equity Directorate Jeannie McLean.
