Yukoners want action on climate change and the Yukon Liberal Caucus is listening. This September, our government launched Our Clean Future, an action plan that will guide us into 2030.
Through 131 specific actions, we will:
- Reduce Yukon’s greenhouse gas emissions;
- Adapt to the effects of climate change;
- Enhance energy security; and
- Support Yukon businesses and individuals to participate in the green economy.
We are proud to have developed this strategy in collaboration with Yukon First Nations, transboundary Indigenous groups and Yukon municipalities. The final strategy has also incorporated feedback from the public, industry and stakeholders.
Our Clean Future meets the challenges we face today and sets a clear direction for a strong, resilient and clean future. The work our government is doing now will protect Yukon’s environmental legacy for generations to come.
