We have an excellent opportunity for you in our Cabinet Communications team. Reporting directly to the Communications Director, you would work on a wide variety of internal and external communications, public relations, and marketing initiatives.
This is a dynamic position that supports both the Cabinet and Caucus offices, provides communications tools and advice and works to achieve the Premier’s and Cabinet’s goals and objectives. You will focus on creating communications strategies, advertising, print publications and social media content for members of Cabinet and Caucus. You may also take on media relations, including acting as a cabinet spokesperson when required.
Candidates should have experience working or volunteering in a political office as well as strategic communications abilities. Strong writing skills and the ability to turn projects around quickly with accuracy are essential.
You would be expected to manage the Cabinet’s social media presence, so we are looking for someone who is experienced using Facebook, twitter and Hootsuite; as well skilled at crafting social media and online strategies. Experience using WordPress and graphic design skills are an asset.
